Scope and digital presence diagnosis
Purpose
Define the conditions for a credible, differentiated German B2C presence built around Carthania Farm Gold. This file is the decision baseline for the benchmark, positioning, requirements and launch plan.
Scope retained
The assignment covers the brand-owned digital presence: positioning, information architecture, product presentation, editorial content, SEO foundations, marketplace hand-off and measurement. It assumes that Carthania Farm provides accurate, validated product and company data.
Out of scope at this stage are a proprietary checkout, logistics, customer service operations, certification work, laboratory analysis and the invention of missing product claims. The digital team organises and presents evidence; it does not create evidence.
Diagnosis
An online presence already exists, but it lacks a clear commercial hierarchy. Product facts vary across assets, product ranges compete for attention and the brand risks promising more than it can prove. A catalogue-first approach would amplify these issues.
The core rule is therefore: say less, but say it better. Every published claim must be clear, useful and supported. Tunisia should be visible immediately; Carthage supports the story but must not replace product understanding.
Hero-product decision
Gold is selected as the strategic hero product because it provides a single entry point for the German consumer. One product can carry the origin, taste, culture and cooking story more clearly than a broad catalogue.
The working positioning is:
A premium Tunisian extra virgin olive oil that helps German consumers discover an authentic Mediterranean olive-oil origin through a contemporary brand inspired by Tunisia and its Carthaginian heritage.
BIO is not used as the main positioning shortcut. Organic status may be stated only where the specific product and supporting documents allow it; the brand proposition must remain attractive without relying on certification.
Message hierarchy
- Identify — extra virgin olive oil.
- Locate — Tunisia, with Mahdia only when validated.
- Differentiate — taste, contemporary presentation and a less familiar Mediterranean origin.
- Reassure — verified product facts and available quality evidence.
- Convert — a simple path to the selected marketplace.
- Learn — track behaviour before expanding scope.
Guiding principles
- Keep the experience simple and mobile-first.
- Put Gold and Tunisia before heritage language.
- Separate proof from storytelling.
- Use culture to deepen product meaning, not to decorate it.
- Keep the website as the brand and content centre; let the marketplace handle the transaction at launch.
- Measure demand before adding products, accounts, checkout or operational complexity.
Expected outcome
The first digital presence must make Gold understandable and desirable, establish Tunisia as a credible origin, support product discovery with useful content, and turn interest into a measurable purchase intention.
