Action and launch plan — German B2C presence
Execution rule
Build the minimum needed to present Gold credibly, distinctively and measurably; then improve using observed results.
Phased roadmap
| Phase | Priority | Exit result |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Validate information | Publishable Gold product record |
| 1 | Prepare content and assets | Copy, packshots and first articles |
| 2 | Design the system | Approved responsive templates |
| 3 | Develop | Functional, maintainable site |
| 4 | SEO, tracking and QA | Indexable and measurable release |
| 5 | Soft launch | Production site with tested CTAs |
| 6 | Initial acquisition | First qualified visitor cohorts |
| 7 | Learn and optimise | Prioritised improvements from data |
Phase 0 — validation gate
Confirm origin, precise regional origin if used, category, formats, ingredients, storage, packaging, certifications, analyses and marketplace links. Each field receives a status: confirmed, pending, excluded or expired. Nothing pending is published as fact.
Content and design preparation
Audit existing product, brand, origin and lifestyle assets. Produce missing hero packshots and real-use photography before decorative content. Draft the homepage, Gold, origin, taste/use, about and purchase-path copy first; then add the initial SEO articles and recipes.
Design a compact system covering typography, colours, spacing, buttons, product facts, cards, editorial pages and mobile navigation. Gold must remain prominent and the system must allow later catalogue expansion without redesigning the foundation.
Development and quality
Use a simple, performant stack and a single product reference. Configure metadata, structured data, sitemap, robots rules, analytics events and consent. Test copy, claims, links, forms, performance, accessibility, responsive layouts and marketplace availability before launch.
Launch and acquisition
Start with a soft launch and verify real devices, CTA destinations and analytics. Allow indexing progressively. Initial acquisition can combine branded/social traffic, small controlled campaigns and origin/recipe SEO. Do not interpret small early samples as stable demand.
Dashboard
Monitor sessions, organic sessions, Gold views, origin and recipe views, marketplace clicks, marketplace CTR, landing pages, search queries and mobile share. The first optimisation targets the largest proven friction in proposition, content or CTA.
Expansion triggers
Add catalogue products when Gold is clear, product data is controlled and users show demand. Add proprietary commerce only when volume, margins, operations and marketplace limitations justify it. Add a newsletter only with a sustained editorial promise and acquisition mechanism.
Main risks and responses
| Risk | Response |
|---|---|
| Missing or uncertain claims | Do not publish; keep a validation register |
| Weak assets | Prioritise product photography |
| Too many products | Keep Gold first |
| Technical overreach | Enforce a strict MVP |
| Slow SEO | Combine long-term content with controlled acquisition |
| Weak conversion | Test proposition and CTA before adding features |
| Inconsistent content | Maintain one product source of truth |
Governance
Carthania Farm owns factual validation and operational readiness. The digital function owns hierarchy, presentation, publishing quality and measurement. After launch, run a regular cycle: review data, choose one hypothesis, implement, verify and document the result.
